Over the years, Washington State has been a welcoming state to all, no matter where we come from. We've built a trust with our immigrant neighbors, like winning access to driver's license to get to work and school and access healthcare to live thriving and healthy lives. But now, that trust is being broken. The healthcare and licensing data of all Washingtonians is being accessed by federal agents and Governor Ferguson's inaction to shut federal agencies, like ICE, from accessing our private data is putting all of our privacy at risk.

It is our governor’s responsibility to protect our data through his oversight on state agencies. This is data that we’ve trusted the state of Washington with, which is personal and sensitive, and which we believed state agencies were safeguarding.

Over the past week, new developments have come out - as a result, our strategy has been updated, and we must take action now!

Join us for a Community Education Session & Phonebank on Tuesday, October 7th at 5:30 pm as we share important updates we have learned about Washington State's concerning data sharing practices, make meaning of where things stand now, and launch into action calling Gov. Ferguson and State Legislators. Interpretation will be available in Spanish! Please email us at [email protected] if you need interpretation in another language.

Will you come?
