When we invest in people in our community, we create powerful change for all. OneAmerica volunteers support English language learners, partner with immigrants and refugees on their path to citizenship, register voters, advocate for policy and elect powerful leaders.

Become A Leader
OneAmerica immigrant and refugee leaders organize and advocate for policies that improve our lives, elect people like us into powerful positions and work together to create powerful change.
English Language Learning
We are always looking for individuals who can support students and teachers in our English Innovations program (currently offered remotely). This is a great opportunity to build your leadership through training on issues, organizing skills and civic education as part of a growing, joyful and powerful community of immigrants like us. Plus, strengthen your own teaching and language skills.
Washington New Americans
Volunteers for Washington New Americans are a critical part of our program, powerfully assisting community members in achieving their dream of citizenship and deepening their own understanding of the citizenship process. Volunteers host more than a dozen citizen application assistance workshops statewide each year. Whether you are an immigration attorney, a paralegal, a law or paralegal student, an interpreter or a general member of our community, you can help!
Support Civic Engagement
When immigrants and refugees vote, we show our power. Join us in registering community members to vote and working to engage our community in issues that matter most to them!
